Technical Specifications

  • Non-insulated wires for aerial transmission lines correspond to GOST 839-80 (State Standard);
  • Wire weight, resistance and breaking strength are shown in Table 1.

Structure of wire A

  • The wire consists of smaller aluminum wires, stranded by right unidirectional concentric strand with strand direction of adjacent layers to opposite sides and outer layer has a right direction.

Structure Wire AS

The wire consists of steel support core and aluminum wires, stranded by right unidirectional concentric strand with strand direction of adjacent layers to opposite sides and outer layer has a right direction.

Applications

A and AS non-insulated wires proposed for transferring energy through aerial overhead transmission in atmosphere of air of types I and II under condition of the maintenance in atmosphere of sulphurous gas no more than 150 mg/m2 per day (1,5 mg/m3) on driest macroclimatic areas in accordance with GOST 15150 (State Standard) executions UHL, except TV and the TS. Wires are not insulated mainly are used for electric mains, on substations and switching centers, for lines of the electrified transport, in distributive chains of electric cars and devices where as an insulator the air environment is used. Not insulated aluminum and steel-aluminum wires are made according to GOST 839-80 (State Standard). Steel-aluminum wires find the widest application for a construction high-voltage power lines with the big flights, difficult climatic conditions (ice, snow loadings, a wind) etc. Admissible prolonged current loadings on non-insulated wires depend on conditions of their operation, a place of their lining etc. Defined by GOST 839-80 (State Standard) and regulated by PUE.
