Technical performance of the couplings
Eks-10SKaT-SL-M is a cold shrink connecting coupling with PU compound. Coupling is used for aluminum or lead core cables coated with saturated paper insulation of the voltage 6 and 10 kV. The kit of coupling includes: universal tear-off head bolt connectors from GPH Company; special tapes; heat shrinkable tubes with adhesive sub-layer; PU compound; kit for sheaths connection; plastic frame; Installation manual.
Structure of the couplings
The electric field voltage around the splicing cores is aligned by special heat-shrinkable tubes. Alignment of the electric field voltage at the edge of the cable sheath is made by special tape with high dielectric constants. The splicing place of cores are reinforced with the transparent frame. The space between cores and space between cores and sheath are filled with PU compound, which provides: hermetic sealing of connected cores and blockage of oil-colophony composition; necessary strength of couplings to shock currents of short circuit. Secure connection of sheaths, resistant to short-circuit currents, creates by grounding wire and spring rings. External protection and hermetic sealing is provided by heat shrinkable tube with adhesive sub-layer inside it. Finally, for additional hermetic sealing and protection of the coupling from mechanical damage plastic frame is used.
